Flowers are being laid outside a house on Carlops Road, after a man’s body was found at the address.
Police Scotland were called to a house, just off Penicuik’s public park, at 9am this morning following the discovery of a 43 year old man’s body.
The Police are continuing their investigation tonight, whilst flowers and tributes start to accumulate beside the garden wall.
At 9am, both the Police and ambulance services arrived on the scene, however the ambulance has since left, leaving forensic officers to ascertain the situation surrounding the man’s death. As such, the case is being treated as “unexplained”.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
The incident was reported today (Saturday, February 7) at around 9am. The Scottish Ambulance Service also attended, but have since departed. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
