Snowstorm ‘Nemo’ Has Hit Penicuik.
The winter storm which is renowned for bring three feet of snow to New England in America has now left Penicuik after delivering a slight accumulation of 2-5cm. Accumulations were not as severe as forecast and there was minimal traffic disruption.
Midlothian Council had gritting services on shift from 5am to make sure that all major routes were operating at full capacity.
The MetOffice have forecast warmer temperatures, those more associated with early spring, from Thursday onwards. The question everyone is asking is whether we’ll get one last bite at Winter? It’s simply too early to say yet.
