Dashing Through The…No.

First and Lothian have announced that they will not run buses to Penicuik on Christmas Day.

Both bus companies have revealed that Penicuik will be cut off on Christmas Day.

Lothian, who runs three routes into Penicuik, will not be running its X37 or 47 routes and whilst its 37 route will be running it will stop Hyvots Bank. First will not run its remaining service, the 62, to Peebles either.

Stagecoach, who procured the 100/101/102/103 from MacEwans Coach Services. They will not run on Christmas day but will run a Sunday service on the 26/12. Special services resume on St Stephens Day as well for Lothian and First. Lothian will be running a limited 37 service to Penicuik. The X37 and 47 will not start operating until the 27 December. First will also run an hourly service on the 26th from Peebles to Edinburgh.

New years day will see no service from Stagecoach or Lothian – except their free buses between midnight and four in the morning. First will be running a special service.
