A man has been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision on Monday morning.
Emergency services were called to Carlops Avenue in Penicuik at 9:25am this morning, Monday, after a 22 year man was hit by a bin lorry.
The Scottish Ambulance service initially attended to the man on the scene, later taking him to hospital for further treatment of serious leg injuries.
Carlops Avenue remains closed whilst investigation work is undertaken. It is not yet known when it will reopen.
