Lothian services 37 and X37 are following an altered route from Monday May 19, due to resurfacing works on Rullion Road, Penicuik.

Lothian have issued an update on the closure of a section on Rullion Road. Rullion Road’s closure due to resurfacing works has now moved further south on the road, as such the previous diversion has been altered to allow services to continue running. The following diversion runs from Monday 19 May for two weeks, when another update will be given as the works move again.

Service 37 and express service X37 will follow the following route northbound: Bog Road onto Carlops Road then left onto John Street/Edinburgh Road (A701) before turning left onto Cuiken Terrace and then right onto Rullion Road. Altered bus stops will be available on Rullion Road whilst the bus will stop anywhere on Cuiken Terrace as long as it is safe to do so. Our map below shows the new route (blue) with the yellow section showing the area where the bus will stop when instructed to. The Southbound route follows the same route as above just in reverse.
