Greenlaw Mill Works to Commence “Imminently”

After six months of legal proceedings, Taylor Wimpey are preparing to start works at their ‘Greenlaw Mill’ site.

Wimpey have told us that they will be onsite ‘imminently’ to carry out preparatory works which will secure the site. After this they start construction of phase one of their planned family homes. Phase one will include building controversial dwellings which back onto existing homes on Boyd-Orr Drive.

However before construction commences, the house-builder are dedicated to ensuring that the site adheres to the highest of health and safety standards. As part of this they will be touring local primary schools to reiterate the dangers of playing near the construction site.

Taylor Wimpey added:

We’d like to take this opportunity to remind members of the public to be aware of construction traffic and our development area as our work in the area progresses.

Wimpey were giving permission for 458 dwellings in February however this had to be formalised in a section 75 legal agreement which would agree upon the number of affordable and council owned homes along with developer contributions to education and local infrastructure.
