The Big Kid Circus is coming to Penicuik

For the second year in a row, Penicuik will host the Big Kid Circus for a weekend this July.

It is an event which involves fire juggling, life threatening stunts and costumes that leave a lot to desire, however it is not Penicuik on a Saturday night. No. It’s the Big Kid Circus and they will shortly be rolling into town for one weekend only.

The classic big tent in the public park will be the home to five showings on Friday 11 July, Saturday 12 July and Sunday 13 July. Parents looking to combat school holiday boredom will be glad to hear that an afternoon performance will take place everyday at 3pm. For the bigger kids, a performance will run at 7pm on Friday and Saturday.

This year’s show is set to be bigger and better than last year’s with dangerous, entertaining displays of talent. But beware, you may be called upon to join in! Here is what an attendee said after a performance elsewhere in the Uk earlier this month:

We took our 2 children aged 4 and 11 to see this show and it was thoroughly enjoyed by all. It was all family orientated fun and a really good laugh. The kids got toys and their faces painted and were amazed by some of the artistes.

It was held together fantastically well by the Ring Mistress, Olympia Rose and the Clown Georgie.

Highly Recommended.

Tickets are on sale in the public park before showings but also on Thursday 10 between 10am and 8pm. Tickets start at £7 for children and £8 for adults, however on opening day (3pm 12 July) all tickets will carry the lower price of £6.99. Children under two go free and tickets can be reserved by phoning 07766552211 or they can be bought online by clicking here.
