Police Scotland are seeking witnesses after an altercation between drivers lead to one driver assaulting the other.

The assault occurred around 16:45pm on Sunday 28 July outside the Tesco Supermarket on Edinburgh Road.

Both drivers left their vehicles after their cars nearly collided. The male driver of the black Nissan Pulsar then approached the male driver of the silver Aston Martin Sygnet where he punched him in the face before driving off.

It is this assailant who is now being sought for questioning by the Police. He is described as white, in his sixties , 5ft 8in tall, stocky build, with short, fair to grey hair and long stubble. He was wearing a light coloured jacket, jumper and light trousers.

Should you have witnessed this altercation, Police Scotland have asked that you contact them using the non-emergency number 101. If you would prefer to remain anonymous you can phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
